Blues Traveler or music without time

Who has not heard this name, I vaguely remember a blues band, perhaps the name of a compilation album, a musical tour or something similar.
Surely, one who hates the sound will be deafening, the environment and all the paraphernalia collective hysteria large concerts, mostly rock, where one hoarse shouting or singing in choir, but the next day he paid the throat.
Who has not wanted to sit quietly at the table of a great pub or café concert , illuminated by dim amber lamps, simulating an atmosphere of jazz or blues sessions, with all the bias and attentive ear to appreciate the virtuosity of the live sessions. There
giant on stage we see a man of broad humanity moving to the sound of his energetic harmonica, giving his best, alternating singing with their own priceless instrument and accompanied by excellent musicians, very professional to complement the pace to improvise. If there is anything that winks to other genres without seeming much, that is Blues Traveler.
hear the exquisite sound of this band and I am unable to define and better yet, I can not locate it in any time in history, is like music of all life, you've been waiting forever, to the delight of the soul. Just start their chords and I feel transported to a tranquil setting of a pub, ready to savor their nostalgic tunes known to many genres and none of them at once. As if John Popper (vocals) and his friends meet in a coffee disparate ingredients: sadness and darkness of blues, depth and soft cadence of soul, warmth and naturalness of folk and the freshness and energy rock, all distilled into an essence that is unlike anything else, only themselves.
This band from New Jersey, has been playing since the late eighties, yet their popularity only limited to the circles of clubs and pubs in the cities of the east coast. Until the mid-nineties, met commercial success, but always within the American field. Perhaps his best albums are "Four " (1994) and "Straight on Till Morning" (1997), bringing together the best songs or big hits.
Singles like " Carolina Blues," "Canadian Rose" "Most Precarious" "But Anyway", "100 Years", "Run-around" are songs that can not be indifferent to any, and of course her biggest hit " Hook", which is indescribable fusion of John Popper and his harmonica in a melody pure, boundless and filled with emotion.
Some would disagree, more friends with strong rhythms, contemporary, flee from this band like the plague, because, admittedly, is not for everyone, not intended to be. While falling into the sin of being uneducated or bum, I do not remember having heard something, and of course, always will be accompanying me on this unsafe to walk that is life.
